Register for our quarterly FOOD SERIES, featuring a variety of different foods from all around the world.  This session will provide the history of fortified wines made in France, Spain, & Portugal and how a botanist from Denison, Texas saved the European wine industry in te 1800s.

Attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch for this new food series.  

Each highly illustrated lecture is presented by Sharon Hudgins, an award-winning cookbook author, editor, and culinary historian.  A former university professor, she is the author of six books and more than 1,000 articles on history, travel, and food, published in magazines and newspapers including the Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Saveur, and Gastronomica.  She is also an experienced lecturer for National Geographic Expeditions, Smithsonian Journeys, Viking Cruises, and other organizations that offer educational tours abroad.
