The History of Women's Clubs (New York to McKinney)

Ms. Pat Rogers, Member of the OWL Club and volunteer with the Collin County History Museum will take you on a journey through the rich history of women's clubs.  She willl discuss the movement, from New York, of women's groups, the evolution to study sessions and literary circles, and how some clubs held traveling shows in the summer (featuring famous speakers).  

 Held in the historic Heard-Craig Home (now home to over 20 women's clubs), the lecture is a FREE event for Mckinney Heritiage Alliance Members, FREE for Heard-Craig Patrons, and FREE for Heard-Craig Lifetime Members. Members of the public and incoming Club Program Chairpersons are welcome to purchase a lecture ticket for $5.00.  Come and hear about the evolution of Clubs (such as the OWL Club, Art Club, and more).
