For 2017, the Heard-Craig is thrilled to offer it's first Genealogy Connect, a dinner and tea focused on helping YOU create a legacy. Scheduled for October 18th, 2017, during Family History Month, this dinner will be held in the late afernoon from 4:00 - 6:00 PM and will include a geneology education program with expertise sharing time. The program for October is entitled, "Top 20 Tips for Recording your Legacy" (so that the information is easy to find and easy for your ancestors, 100 years from now, to interpret). Our Ancestry and Featured Speaker will be Ms. Cheryl Smith, a Genealogy Librarian and expert blogger. The Program starts at 4:00 PM in the Heard-Craig Main House Parlor followed by dinner at 5:00 PM in the Dining room.
This is a unique chance to connect with others who are intersted in Family Connections. Attendees will be served with traditional Sterling Silver Tea services. A menu of quiche, chocolate, 4-layer cake, and tea is planned. There will be only 16 seats available at each of these dinner events so that personalized ancestry/geneology/legacy questions can be answered. Come for a dreamy evening and start learning how to leave YOUR legacy.
